Anti-condensation Glass:Reduce Condensation
Anti-Condensation Glass provides an effective external glass surface which is very difficult for early morning condensation to form on. As insulated glazing increase in thermal efficiency condensation building up on the external faces of architectural glass is common, especially in the mornings when glass faces are cold and there is moisture in the air. As these modern insulated glass units are so well insulated the external face of the glass remains cold, even when heating is on inside, ensuring a perfect surface for condensation (or dew) to form.
Anti-Condensation Glass for Commercial Projects
Large glass facades would benefit from an anti-condensation coating to the external glass face to stop any external condensation forming.
Structural glass facades, glass atriums and curtain walling systems would all benefit from an anti-condensation coating to ensure that glass faces remain clear throughout the day.
As our anti-condensation glass coatings do not change the colour, light transmission or g factor of a glass unit they can easily be specified on any commercial project including heritage projects without any change to the architectural design.
Condensation on the external elevation of your architectural glazing is a symptom of high levels of thermal performance so is not a performance issue. It is purely aesthetic. Anti-Condensation coatings make it harder for dew and water vapour to cling to the glass surface, therefore reducing condensation build up on the face of the glazing.
This is very useful on glazing that is hard to reach such as double height glass facades and roof glazing.
