Cleanning and maintaining switchable film and glass
When Cleaning the smart film on glass or switchable glass:
Only mild, household detergent in water should be used as a cleaning soultion.
Switchable flm and glass maybe washed with a soft cotton cloth or a window-cleaner’s sponge and squeegee. The edges of the glass must be wiped dry after.
Do not use strong detergets and chemicals as these cleaning agents can seep through the glass panel’s rubber gaskets and seals, attacking the switchable PDLC interlayer and causing delamination.
For Switchable Film Products where the PDLC film is exposed, we only recommend using IPA wipes to clean the surface as using water or cleaning liquids could damage the film.
Cleaning: Smart film should be cleaned with a soft cloth and non-abrasive cleaning products. Avoid using sharp objects or abrasive materials on the film as they can scratch or damage it.
